How to care for horse bits by material

Clean the bit after every use and inspect the mouthpiece, joints, stitching, welds and edges. Never use a damaged or sharp bit.

Sweet Iron

Rinse away dirt and avoid abrasive cleaning. An even dark surface is a normal part of oxidation.

Titanium and stainless steel

Use lukewarm water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasives and inspect joints and welds.

Leather

Clean gently, allow it to dry naturally and use only suitable care products. Check for cracks, damaged stitching and core damage.

Rubber

Rinse after use and inspect tooth marks, cracks and hardened or sharp edges.

Storage
