The bit is good, but it would have been even better if the roller were a little larger. Size 12.5 is probably correct, but compared with other bits of the same size, it is slightly smaller. I would have preferred it to be 2–3 mm longer.– Linda
Description
Touch Leather Pelham 135 mm (5¼") combines the direct action of a snaffle with leverage from the Pelham shanks. The upper rein provides a milder, more direct contact, while the lower rein increases the leverage. Pelham roundings can be used with one pair of reins.
The straight mouthpiece sits steadily and distributes contact across the tongue. It has a leather-covered metal core. Rinse after every use, allow it to dry and condition the leather when required.
Size, fit and action must suit the individual horse. If discomfort, sores or repeated resistance occur, have the fit, teeth and other equipment checked by a suitable professional.
