The bit is good, but it would have been even better if the roller were a little larger. Size 12.5 is probably correct, but compared with other bits of the same size, it is slightly smaller. I would have preferred it to be 2–3 mm longer.– Linda
Description
Size: 105 mm (4¼")
Long arms extending above and below the mouthpiece give clear lateral guidance. Cannot be pulled through the mouth. The upper arm attaches to the bridle for extra stability. Works well for young horses and horses that need clear sideways steering.
Two joints with a center link that distributes pressure more evenly. Does not reach the palate. Milder than a single-jointed bit, with independent action on each side. Suits horses with a low palate, thick tongue or sensitive mouth. The most common choice for a gentle bit.
Gives a sweet taste that encourages chewing and salivation. The surface turns blue-black over time, which is normal. Wipe clean after use and store dry.
