The bit is good, but it would have been even better if the roller were a little larger. Size 12.5 is probably correct, but compared with other bits of the same size, it is slightly smaller. I would have preferred it to be 2–3 mm longer.– Linda
Description
Size: 115 mm (4½")
Long arms extending up and down that give clear lateral guidance. Cannot be pulled through the mouth. The upper arm attaches to the bridle for extra stability. Works well for young horses and horses that need clear sideways steering.
A single joint in the middle that distributes pressure across the lips, bars and the sides of the tongue. A classic basic bit with a clear signal. Rises in the middle under pressure and can reach the palate. If the horse has a low palate, a double-jointed or straight bit may be a better fit.
Soft and flexible, one of the mildest options. Cushions pressure. Takes up more space in the mouth.
