The bit is good, but it would have been even better if the roller were a little larger. Size 12.5 is probably correct, but compared with other bits of the same size, it is slightly smaller. I would have preferred it to be 2–3 mm longer.– Linda
Description
Size: 105 mm (4¼")
The rings move freely through the mouthpiece. Encourages the horse to chew and salivate. The horse cannot lean on the bit as easily. The most common type of bit. Can pinch the corners of the mouth if the bit is too wide.
Two joints with a centre link that distributes pressure more evenly. Does not reach the palate. Milder than a single-jointed bit, with independent action on each side. Suits horses with a low palate, a thick tongue or a sensitive mouth. The most common choice for a gentle bit.
Gives a sweet taste that encourages chewing and salivation. The surface turns blue-black over time, which is completely normal. Wipe dry after use and store in a dry place.
