The bit is good, but it would have been even better if the roller were a little larger. Size 12.5 is probably correct, but compared with other bits of the same size, it is slightly smaller. I would have preferred it to be 2–3 mm longer.– Linda
Description
Size: 135 mm (5¼")
Combines snaffle and curb in one bit. Upper rein as snaffle, lower with leverage through the shanks. Can be ridden with a pelham strap for one pair of reins. More frame and control. Needs a steady hand. Common in eventing. No hinge points. Even pressure straight across the tongue. No nutcracker effect, doesn't reach the palate. Can feel strong as the entire mouthpiece acts at once. Suits horses that need stable pressure and don't mind tongue pressure. Metal core wrapped in leather. Soft, warm, cushions pressure. Rinse after each use, oil as needed.Information
