The bit is good but would have been even better if the rod was a little bigger. Size 12.5 is probably right but compared to other bits of the same size it is a bit smaller. I would have liked it to be 2-3mm longer.– Linda
Description
Shorter shanks than a standard curb, milder leverage. Good as a first step into curb riding. Can sometimes be used without a bradoon depending on rules.
No hinge points. Even pressure straight across the tongue. No nutcracker effect, doesn't reach the palate. Can feel strong as the entire mouthpiece acts at once. Suits horses that need stable pressure and don't mind tongue pressure.
Produces a sweet taste that encourages chewing and salivation. The surface turns blue-black over time, that's normal. Wipe after use, store dry.
