The bit is good but would have been even better if the rod was a little bigger. Size 12.5 is probably right but compared to other bits of the same size it is a bit smaller. I would have liked it to be 2-3mm longer.– Linda
Description
D-shaped rings that lie flat against the cheek. Cannot be pulled through the mouth. The flat side helps steer horses that fall out through the shoulder. A reliable all-round bit.
A joint in the middle that distributes pressure on the lips, bars and the sides of the tongue. A classic basic bit with a clear signal. Rises in the middle under pressure and can reach the palate. If your horse has a low palate, a double-jointed or straight bit may be a better fit.
Gives a sweet taste that encourages chewing and salivation. The surface turns blue-black over time, which is normal. Wipe off after use and store dry.
