Weymouth
The Weymouth, also known as a curb bit, is used as part of a double bridle together with a bradoon (snaffle bit). With two reins, the rider is able to give very fine and nuanced aids.
The Weymouth is mainly used in advanced dressage and by experienced riders. Its action depends on the mouthpiece, shank length, material and rein position, and can be adapted to the horse's level of training.
