The bit is good but would have been even better if the rod was a little bigger. Size 12.5 is probably right but compared to other bits of the same size it is a bit smaller. I would have liked it to be 2-3mm longer.– Linda
Description
Lower part of a double bridle, always with a bradoon. The shanks create leverage through the curb chain. Acts on tongue and bars. Requires an experienced, quiet hand. Dressage from Medium level up. Longer shanks give more action.
No hinge points. Even pressure straight across the tongue. No nutcracker effect, doesn't reach the palate. Can feel strong as the entire mouthpiece acts at once. Suits horses that need stable pressure and don't mind tongue pressure.
Produces a sweet taste that encourages chewing and salivation. The surface turns blue-black over time, that's normal. Wipe after use, store dry.
